ABOUT ME
For more than 20 years, I have assisted families through crisis intervention as well as counseling elderly clients and their respective family members as it pertains to the transition/adjustment to Long Term Care placement to nursing homes. Taking inspiration from the beaches of Rhode Island, I create a calm, supportive environment when working with clients and their families to ease the burden during these stressful times. I take great pride in being a client advocate and offering support related to family needs including:
Stress precipitated by illness and disability
Fears related to helplessness and death
Acceptance of need for specialized care
Admission to nursing home/assisted living facility as well as integrating clients back into the community or home setting
Interpreting social, psychological, emotional and family problems to health partners to increase their understanding of the clients attitude, behavior, and reactions to illness, loss and disabilities.
Planning and implementing a comprehensive Social Services program
Helping clients cope with their End of Life process and providing support to their families during this difficult time is my passion. If I can assist you in anyway, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to connecting and seeing how I can provide person-centered care for you and your loved ones.
